Risk Event 2020
On Thursday 2nd of April 2020, the Third IT Risk Event of ISACA will take place, with a wide variety/diversity of speakers and various main streams.
As previous year the program will have the following main streams:
- Corporate Risks
- IT Security Risks
- Innovation and Tech Risks
Each stream contains various seminars, where the participant can choose the program that best fits their wishes and interests.
In 2020 there will be again a fourth stream, in which we want to emphasize the further internationalization of business with the theme ‘Risks within an international context‘. This stream will consist entirely of international speakers, also to address a wider audience.
During the day (breaks, lunch and dinner) there is plenty of time to talk with speakers and participants.
Participants at the ISACA Risk Event are Risk Managers and Risk Consultants (Corporate, Operational, Financial & IT risk), Security and Cyber specialists, IT auditors, CIOs, (Senior) Management, Thought leaders in organizations, Business information managers, Application managers, Project and service managers and Consultants in the IT sector.
2020 speakers will be announced in the coming months
We are currently contacting some leading industry speakers. More news and announcements to follow.
Looking back at Risk Event 2019 ‘No Risk No Glory’
On April 11th ISACA’s second Risk Event was kicked-off by the conductor of the day (dagdirigent) Wim Bartels. With his Big 4 advisory background ánd extensive musical experience as singer and trumpet player, his personal ‘No Risk No Glory’ song brought the attendants in the right mood. After an interactive voting session with the audience, Jaap van der Leer – ISACA’s Chairman of the Board of the Dutch ISACA Chapter – proudly welcomed everyone. This second Risk Event hosted more professionals and offered a more divers content than ever. Therefore the organization committee had to change the location to the Johan Cruijff ARENA.
Five Post Master IT-auditing students are announced on stage, as they are nominated for the ISACA RISK AWARD. Their research papers are among the best for graduating at several Dutch universities. The event book contains an abstract of their papers. All attendees can vote for their preferred winner of the during the day.
The day’s content was distributed via 4 different tracks, that each hosted 5 break-out sessions:
1. Corporate risks
2. IT & (Cyber) Security risks
3. Innovation & Tech risks
4. Risk in an International context – fully presented in English language to serve the international professionals.
Presentations can be downloaded in the below section of this page.

The last content part of the event started by Raef Meeuwisse with his great presentation on ‘How to hack a human’. Then the two final nominees of the ISACA RISK AWARD had to pitch their paper abstracts. After a close call, Ludy Rohling appeared the winner over runner-up Mabelle Schreurs. Albert Kisjes, owner of co-sponsor Agilos handed out the price of a 750 euro cheque. The result is an important acknowledgement to ISACA’s SheLeadsTech program, which aims to welcome more women in leadership roles and the tech workforce. The SheLeadsTech initiative gained many advocates during the day with its little red stickers. Then, the 4 track leads presented their key take-aways of the day and the organization committee got their well-deserved applaus. The Risk Event 2019 was formally closed by the conductor of the day and ISACA’s chairman of the board and all attendants were welcomed to join the dinner.
The first reactions on this year’s second edition were very positive (quick registration, surprisingly large, nice atmosphere, great diversity of content, good networking and a professional location). Additionally, we received lots of tips, idea’s and feedback for improvements for next year. Summarizing: ISACA and its partners are proud of this second Risk Event.
